”Culture Fest Fujisawa SST 2017” was Held under Cloudless Sky (Nov. 3 Fri.)

Fujisawa SST Management Company and the Fujisawa SST Council jointly organized the second annual Culture Fest to promote the town’s message and to unite Fujisawa SST with the community.

Approximately 3,500 people from the Fujisawa community attended the event. They enjoyed many cultural programs such as hula dancing, piano playing, a violin performance and flea markets. Moreover, food stalls, workshops and sporting events were happening throughout the festival. This year’s festival had an extra outdoor arena, in addition to the indoor stages, for band performance and baton twirlers. This provided a free open space and an enjoyable atmosphere..

Collections of calligraphy works were exhibited in the exhibition corner, and lectures were presented in indoor sites. Furthermore, a surf movie of Tsujido beach directed by a professional surfer and an auteur was shown at the site, which was very unique site to Fujisawa.

Many events were held at the Fujisawa SST Council booth, such as “Fujisawa SST vs Shonan Bellmare soccer school team & Futsal cup,” a hip-hop dance performance by “Team HANA” who is a winner of the World Cup championship, a lecture about health, and various other workshops.

The visitors from outside of the town said that the Fujisawa SST is a beautiful town, looks brilliant and happy. They said it would be an ideal place to live. We were pleased to hear these positive opinions and experience the great success of this event and community project.

Fujisawa SST Council will continue planning projects and events like this to engage the community and town development.
