President Zuzana Caputova, the President of the Slovak Republic, a presidential assistant, staff of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Japan, and Slovak domestic media visited Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town (hereinafter referred to as “Fujisawa SST”) during her official visit to Japan.

Slovakia is focusing on the environmental field. This visit was realized because of her desire to visit Japan’s most advanced smart city in said field.

The president’s group visited the block after receiving a briefing on “Fujisawa SST’s concept of community development based on lifestyle”. The president listened carefully about the town’s work on energy, security, community, and other activities provided by the town, and, with a gentle smile, watched parents and children enjoy playing in the park .
