Panasonic Corporation delivered a lecture to introduce “Advanced case of smart city looking toward the year of 2020” and joined panel discussion at the symposium of “Smart Community Japan 2016” which was a comprehensive exhibition for next generation energy and new business creation held from June 15th to 17th.

On the presentation, we introduced a way of thinking of CRE (Corporate Real Estate) strategy, and an approach for smart town, aiming to contribute for the future town development with advanced technologies, solutions, new services, and cooperation with partner companies, by showing two examples of smart cities. The first case is “FujisawaSST” which focused on suburban-style detached houses and the second case is “TsunashimaSST” (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama) which planned to be open in 2018 and focused on urban-style commercial facilities.

On the panel discussion, with a help of a facilitator from the NIKKAN KOGYO SHIMBUN, we discussed for a way of corporation between different business, method for community creation, and energy management with Mr. Takashi Shinshi, a group manager of smart energy engineering, solution engineering of Tokyo Gas, proceeding town development at Tamachi, Tokyo. Approximately 250 people audited.
